What does counseling cost?
We are dedicated to making counseling financially available to as many as possible. Individual sessions are $120. However, some clients qualify for reduced rates using a sliding scale based on income and family size.
Do you offer telehealth or virtual sessions?
Yes! We utilize a secure, HIPPA compliant software to offer virtual care to anyone in Texas. Unfortunately, licensing laws prohibit us from serving counseling clients in other states.
What if I don't want the Faith/Bible Integrated Therapy?
No problem. During your intake and first session, you and Stephen will discuss your preferences. Our care and commitment to you is not affected by your religious affiliation or non-affiliation.
Do you take insurance?
Unfortunately, we cannot currently accept insurance. However, we are happy to provide documentation for you to file with your insurance, personally. Some insurance companies offer reimbursements after seeing an out of network provider, but we cannot guarantee payment or coverage for your specific policy.
What will people think?
Your privacy is important to us. Our comfortable office offers discretion during appointments, all communication is with you directly, and public interaction is completely at your initiation. You trust us, and we take that seriously.
My son/daughter doesn't want to go...
Many teens and children may feel this way, especially if it wasn't their idea to come to counseling. Parents are encouraged to be a part of their child's intake session, and Stephen will address these feelings together with humor and understanding. Most children and teens begin to look forward to sessions rather quickly!
What counseling modalities do you use?
Stephen utilizes Cognative Behavioral Therapy as the foundation for sessions, but frequently includes Emotion Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, and Faith/Bible Integrated Therapy to best meet the needs of each individual.
What ages are you able to see?
Stephen accepts clients ages 6 and above. He has years of experience and specialised training that allows him to comfortably offer therapy to both adults and children.
