Stephen served as a vocational minister for over 14 years as a Student Minister, Associate Pastor, Music Minister, and Counseling Pastor in the Baptist, Methodist, and Bible Church Denominations. He earned his Masters Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Stephen provided counseling in a ministerial setting for 6 years before pursuing professional licensure as an LPC-Associate* in the State of Texas.

In counseling, Stephen's heart is to meet people in their deepest places of need and come alongside them with: 1) the love and truth that comes from God's Word and 2) the deep psychological understanding God has shown us through science and study. Stephen's unique approach integrates Biblical principals with cognitive behavioral therapy and neurobiological insights, all practiced with empathy and care for every individual.

Stephen's desire is to empower churches, families, and students to live out their new life in Christ. In every seminar and speaking opportunity, Stephen intentionally brings together Bible based theology and scientific insights in an easy to understand format with real, practical life applications.
